Snooki, McCain Have Common Views On Tanning Taxes

Snooki, McCain Have Common Views

Arizona Senator John McCain and Jersey Shore star Snooki have one thing in common: both don’t like Obama’s decision to raise tanning taxes. Snooki recently expressed her displeasure at the 10 per cent tanning tax, part of the healthcare reform bill.

“I don’t go tanning anymore because Obama put a 10% tax on tanning,” she says in the preview, which aired before the MTV Movie Awards Sunday. (Snooki co-hosted the pre-show.) “And I feel like he did that intentionally for us.”
Snooki got unprecedented backing from Obama’s old rival McCain. “@Sn00ki u r right,” the 2008 Republican presidential candidate tweeted on his verified account.

“I would never tax your tanning bed! Pres Obama’s tax/spend policy is quite The Situation. but I do rec wearing sunscreen!” Perhaps Snooki caught McCain’s unprecedented support and gave a diplomatic answer, “Haha Yes!” The entire incident has now triggered speculation whether John McCain is too a “Jersey Shore” fan? The senator not only made good use of Snooki’s comment but also took up the situation for good measure.

This time if McCain decides to contest against Obama, he’d better keep Snooki in mind as a vice president candidate since Saraj Palin would be running for president on her own in 2012. And after all both have the tanning-taxes platform in common
