Vince Carter Stars In Orlando Magic Victory Over Atlanta Hawks
Orlando Magic defeated Atlanta Hawks 98-84 yesterday. Vince Carter scripted Magic’s victory, scoring 22 points.
With this win, Carter’s side finished off its second straight playoff in style. Orlando won the four games by an average of 25 points and the result was surprising because both teams are considered equal in their strength.
But Magic, who lost to the Lakers in last year’s N.B.A. finals, is performing superbly this season and it seems that they would stop only after winning the trophy . Orlando has secured 14 in a row.
Orlando dominated the magic against the Hawks and never allowed the home side to mount any challenge. Dwight Howard was held to 13 points and 8 rebounds, but the Magic had other stars to fill in Howard’s shoes.
Jameer Nelson finished with 16 points and 9 assists, while Rashard Lewis scored 17 points, knocking down four 3-pointers. The Hawks star Joe Johnson failed to impress once again as he scored only 14 points.
