If media reports are to be believed, Apple is planning to launch its next-generation iPhone very soon. Apple plans to launch its new Iphone 4G for verizon in the last week of June, 2010.
The net is abuzz with searches for Verizon iPhone release date as well as iPhone 4G release date. However, it is still unclear whether Apple will join hands with Verizon Wireless or continue its partnership with AT&T while releasing the latest Apple iPhone.
Earlier, the US-based company had announced that it might forge a partnership with Verizon this year. However, Verizon had not reacted initially to Apple’s announcement.
But after some weeks, the US phone carrier expressed its willingness to work with Apple, saying the final decision was in Apple’s hand. But, the company made an unexpected u-turn after some days, saying they were more interested in building a speed network than forging a partnership with Apple.
Experts maintained that Apple must be thinking of inking a deal with some other company in case Verizon backs out. Speculations are rife that Apple might continue with AT&T, as both companies had signed exclusive deal for marketing iPhone’s earlier version. But, the deal is set to end this summer and all eyes are on Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who will take a final call on the issue.
It is believed that AT&T and Verizon, both of the country’s biggest wireless providers, will find it tough to sell new iPhones, because nearly 100% of the people in the US now own a cell phone.
