UFC Star Tito Ortiz Arrested For Hitting Jenna Jameson, Released On Bail
The Huntington Beach Police Department today announced that they have arrested the Ultimate Fighting Championship star Tito Ortiz from his home on suspicion of domestic violence.
Someone called police at 9:53 a.m. reporting about a disturbance at Ortiz's residence and the UFC star was taken into custody two hours later.
Ortiz was released after he posted the $25,000 bail. The UFC star is currently coaching Season 11 of "The Ultimate Fighter" on Spike TV. Addressing a press conference, Ortiz said that his ex-porn star girlfriend Jenna Jameson is addicted to Oxycontin, and he blames Jameson's addiction to drug for his arrest.
''Jenna Jameson has been fighting an ugly battle with an addiction to Oxycontin for well over a year, and (Monday) morning, she had a relapse. We're here because Tito was trying to help her. Tito Ortiz never laid a hand on Jenna," said attorney Chip Matthews to The Associated Press.
The press conference was arranged at an Italian restaurant in North Hollywood and Ortiz broke down while talking to the reporters saying the support of his family and Jameson's father "just means the world to me." "My parents have gone through an addiction, and I'm seeing a mirror of that. I hold everything dear to my heart that Jenna will be OK," noted Ortiz.
Meanwhile, Matthews added that Ortiz, 35, found drugs in the home yesterday and entered into an altercation with Jameson that ended with Ortiz's arrest. The AP reporters tried hard to contact Jameson, but in vain.
