TV's 'Mission Impossible' Star Peter Graves dies at 83
The 83 year old actor of more than 70 films and television series, Peter Graves died Sunday afternoon as informed by Los Angeles Police Department.
He had just returned from brunch with his family when he collapsed on the driveway of his Pacific Palisades home says Sandy Brokaw, his publicist. Further he adds that one of Graves' daughters administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation but it did not help.
Peter Graves was the star of the hit 1960s CBS series 'Mission Impossible' in which he played intelligence agent James Phelps.
Some of his most memorable performances apart from Mission Impossible were 1953 classic, "Stalag 17" and disaster spoof "Airplane!" But he is remembered for the hit series 'Mission Impossible' the most, for which he won a Golden Globe too in 1971.
