Metorological Department has warned that weather in Metro Atlanta would get severe this weekend, as a powerful storm system is entering into the region.

The storm system has already wreaked havoc in parts of the Mid-South and Mississippi Valley today, and is expected to reach western Tennessee and much of Mississippi tonight. Experts maintained that the area of extreme concern could shift into Alabama and some parts of Western Georgia by tomorrow morning and by tomorrow night, the storm system would threaten Metro Atlanta.

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman has issued a warning saying that the winds, hails and tornadoes would hit much of Mississippi and Alabama, the western half of Tennessee, southern Kentucky and the parts of western Georgia by tomorrow.

It is predicted that the storm system would be strongest in the night in Metro Atlanta and much of Georgia. Local authorities have asked the residents to listen to the Meterological Department's update and act accordingly.
