St. Louis Rams have picked Sam Bradford of the University of Oklahoma, a Quarterback, as the No. 1 pick of the N.F.L. draft this year, while Jason Pierre-Paul of South Florida was picked by New York Giants as their 2010 N.F.L. draft pick.
“I’m just looking forward to playing football and getting back out there and doing what I love to do. Obviously this year didn’t end up the way I wanted it to be. To get back out there especially with my new receivers and start getting some chemistry, I can’t wait,” said Bradford.
The Florida star, Tim Tebow, who had been working hard on his throwing motion in the past few months, in order to find favours with the coaches, stayed at home in Jacksonville, Fla., with his family.
Tebow finally managed to convince the coaches and was picked by Denver Broncos, who were the most active team of the first round, with two back and two up tradings.
Coach Josh McDaniels is largely responsible for this activeness, as he traded Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall to acquire Brady Quinn. Talking to reporters, Tebow said, "I was asked to do something at Florida, I was asked to run a certain style of offense. Now, I’m getting asked to do something different. I’m going to do everything possible to do that."
Tebow was a dazzling field leader during his college days and he has a huge fan following in Jacksonville.
