A new government report, which is yet to be released has been quoted by ABC News as saying that some senior employees of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), America’s financial regulator, spent hours on the SEC’s computers surfing porn sites such as naughty.com, skankwire and youporn, during the time of the financial crisis.
The SEC is handling cases of serious economic offenses like Bernard Madoff's Ponzi scheme.
The investigation was conducted by the SEC's internal watchdog and it found that 31 senior officers were involved in such acts during the past two and a half years.
The report added that 17 of the alleged offenders hold senior positions in the SEC. Meanwhile, the SEC refused to comment on the report, saying it will deal the issue on a case-by-case basis.
According to the report, one senior attorney working at the SEC headquarters in Washington, used to surf pornograhic materials for up to eight hours a day. The report added that the attorney filled his official computer with porn stuffs and also downloaded more porn stuffs to CDs and DVDs.
