Rajon Rondo Stars In Boston Celtics Important Win Over Cavaliers
Celtics star Rajon Rondo performed brilliantly to help his side register a 97-87 win over Cleveland Cavaliers in their Eastern Conference game yesterday.
Rondo, the smallest man on the floor, scored 29 points, a playoff career-high 18 rebounds and 13 assists to stop Cavaliers from taking a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinal playoffs.
“He does everything for them. They may be one of the oldest teams but Rondo is one of the youngest players in the playoffs. His quickness and his speed get them out on the break and he creates for himself and creates for others,” said Cavaliers star LeBron James about Rondo.
James added that Rondo was fabulous on the floor and his performance was simply unmatchable. “Rondo was definitely the difference maker. He plays much bigger than what he looks,” noted James.
Rondo was the game turner as he lifted his team when they were lagging behind by seven in the game’s opening minutes. Rondo’s magical display helped Celtics to take a nine-point lead by halftime. He continued his good show in the fourth quarter as well.
