David Ortiz has been sued by Rapper Jay-Z and his business partner for the name that he has given to his new club in Dominican Republic. Jay-z has sports bars in New York, Las Vegas and Atlanta city by the name of forty/forty which is incidentally the name that has been given by the Boston Red Sox Slugger.
Jay-z and his business partner Juan Perez have filed a lawsuit in Manhatten’s federal court on Thursday where they have accused the baseball player of infringing upon the name of their club.
"David Ortiz is fully aware of plaintiff's Manhattan 40/40 Club, since he had been a patron there on several occasions, long before he opened his infringing Forty/Forty Club," states the lawsuit.
