Oprah Biography By Kitty Kelly Reveals Oprah Winfrey's Hidden Past
In a recently released unauthorized biography named “Oprah” by writer Kitty Kelly, it has been alleged that the famous chat show host who has earned billions of dollars by coaxing her guests to reveal their past has a hidden past of her own.
As per the biography she has manipulated everything starting from her poor upbringing to her longtime “love” Stedman Graham plus has hidden her lesbian crushes.
If the book is to be believed then :
•Oprah has grossly exaggerated stories about her poor upbringing and her sexual abuse as a child during her growing up years.
•Has taken pains to conceal her lesbian inclinations including paying hefty sums and has shown attachment to Graham to project herself as more normal than she actually is.
•She has sold her body to earn extra money.
•The book says that Oprah is not aware of the true identity of her real father and that her relationship with her mother is so bad that she hasn’t even shared her phone number with her mother.
It is also alleged that she likes to say that her family was so poor that she never had new dresses or dolls to play with.
Her claims have been refuted by her family saying that while they might not have been well off but Oprah herself was quite “spoiled”.
Where Oprah got that nonsense about growing up in filth and roaches I have no idea," said one relative, Katherine Carr Esters. "I've confronted her and asked, 'Why do you tell such lies?' Oprah told me, 'That's what people want to hear. The truth is boring.' "
Her family has also claimed that contrary to her claim, Oprah as a teenager was rebellious and promiscuous to the point of getting into prostitution.
She was later send to live in Nashville with Vernon Winfrey, her mother’s ex lover and who is listed as her biological father in her birth certificate. It has been reported that it was Vernon’s disciplinarian style that mellowed down Oprah.
