Police claim to have made an arrest in connection with the Walmart incident, though they have declined to make any further revelation, saying that the details would be disclosed later on Saturday.

On 14 March, an announcement was made on the Turnersville Walmart public address system, warning “all Blacks” to leave the store. Following the incident, the Walmart management apologized to the customers, saying it was offended by the incident. In the words of Wal-Mart corporate spokesman Lorenzo Lopez, the company was "just as appalled by this as anyone. Whoever did this is wrong and acted in an inappropriate manner. Clearly this is unacceptable."

Thereafter, Walmart has decided to limit access to its public address system, particularly the New Jersey store where the incident had happened. The New Jersey store is updating its intercom systems.
