There has been an extension of the Ohio Energy Efficient Appliances Rebate.
Under this program rebates up to $250 on purchase of the Energy Star related appliances is offered though some people have it called a program which is “cash for clunkers for appliances,”
At the beginning $10.4 million was available as funds to support discounts on whitegoods like dish washer, washing machine, refrigerators etc.
After the last rebate period the balance left in the fund is $ 2 million and this fund needs to depleted. The discount was to close on the 19th of April and post that a decision has been taken to postpone the last date of discount. Ohio Department of Development has been forced to reallocate the remaining balances to fund purchases for dishwashers, washing machines,etc.
There has been a grace time for anther 30 days to submit the documents to the rebate processor keeping in mind the high rate of demand
It is estimated that 75 5 of the total rebate has already been redeemed. 24th May is the last cut off date for rebates on gas storage and electric heat pump water heaters
