The country superstar Taylor Swift donated $500,000 to Nashville flood relief last week and the pop singer-songwriter is continuing to support the victims of the the flood by lending her talents to Nashville Rising: A Benefit Concert for Flood Recovery on June 22.
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will host the event.
Teenage singing sensation Miley Cyrus, as well as country stars like Carrie Underwood, Brooks & Dunn, LeAnn Rimes, Miranda Lambert and Martina McBride will also perform during the June 22 concert. The funds will be given the Community Foundation, which carries on philanthropic services in Middle Tennessee.
"The damage that we've seen to people's homes and the effect that the flooding has had on their lives is unimaginable. But we've seen the spirit of our community firsthand, as volunteers, church groups and our local business leaders rally to help. We all need to continue to support those in need in any way that we can, and for that reason, we could not be more appreciative to all of the artists, the companies and the people behind the scenes who collectively will make June 22 a truly special night," McGraw and Hill said in a statement. "
Meanwhile, red-hot pop star Ke$ha will hold her own benefit concert on June 16 at the Limelight entertainment venue in Nashville. "Nashville helped shape me as an artist and as a person, and my love for this city is beyond words. I will continue to do anything I can to help rebuild this city and support the families and animals who have been affected by this tragedy," said Ke$ha.
