Microsoft KIN Phones Available from Thursday
New generation Microsoft KIN phones will be available for purchase from Thursday. The two variants of the phone – KIN one and KIN two include features like built in camera, QWERTY keyboard, voice calling etc.
The most important feature of the phones is the KIN Loop which helps in getting real time feeds and status updates from Facebook, Twitter etc. The other interesting feature is the KIN spot which allows users to share an item with friends or a group.
The KIN phones will debut with Verizon wireless and will be manufactured by Sharp. Verizon is planning to launch two plans - $ 39.99 a month Nationwide Talk plan and the second a wireless email and web service for $29.99
Features of KIN one include 5 megapixel camera, 4 GB storage while KIN two’s features include 8 megapixel camera and an 8 GB storage. Both the models have a built in media player which is run by Microsoft’s zune software.
The KIN phones have been designed with a focus on networking and socializing and might not be an attractive proposition for professionals.
