Mayweather vs Mosley Highlights, Who won the Mayweather Mosley Fight
Floyd Mayweather Jr defeated Shane Mosley in their superfight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas Saturday to improve his perfect record to 41-0.
Mayweather dominated the fight from the beginning, except in the second round, where he received two huge Mosley rights. Mayweather win by scores of 119-109, 119-109 and 118-110.
Experts maintained this was the toughest fight of Mayweather's career as Mosley is a superb pugilist and he could floor any boxer with his mix of size, speed and power. But Mayweather was on song as he surprised Mosley to go on the front foot from the beginning.
The 38-year-old Mosley appeared in his elements in second round when he tagged Mayweather twice. Just when it seemed that Mosley would gain the upper hand Mayweather recovered quickly to surprise his opponent.
Talking to reporters, after the bout, Mayweather, who has always been criticised for his safety-first style, said that he gave the fans what they wanted by fighting aggressively yesterday. "We should have pressed the attack a lot earlier and we could have got the knockout, but Shane Mosley is a tough customer and he is one hell of a fighter. That's all with the territory of boxing - only the strong survive. This is a contact sport, some time you are going to get hit with big shots, you must suck it up and keep fighting hard like a warrior," said Mayweather.
