Managed Hosting Provider ServInt Joins Linux Foundation To Provide Green IT Services
The Linux Foundation, the nonprofit organization whose main aim is to increase the number of users of Linux across the globe, today announced that managed hosting provider ServInt has also joined the Linux Foundation.
ServInt has joined The Linux Foundation to use the networking events and online and face-to-face workgroup collaboration on Virtualization and Green Linux.
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the implementation of virtualization strategy would help in the reduction of energy consumption in the country. The agency added that nearly 1.5 percent of American energy consumption in 2006 was due to data downloading.
