Lot of Communities Show Interest in Google Ultra High-Speed Broadband Networks Trials
There is a lot of excitement about Google's ultra high-speed broadband networks as more than 600 communities all around U.S. have shown their interest to be the test sites for the same.
In February it was announced by Google that the company is planning to test broadband networks at some trial locations in the U.S. Google had claimed then that internet speed will be more than 100 times faster than what it is for most Americans today.
March 26 was the deadline for local governments to submit their expressions of interests to take part in Google network trials along with their present facilities and resources in their communities. By Friday morning more than 600 communities have applied to be part of trials for Google ultra fast broadband says Google.
This clearly expresses that "people across the country are hungry for better and faster Internet access,” said Google's blog post. The final selected communities for Google ultra high-speed broadband networks trials will be announced by year end.
