'Lost Boys' Star Corey Haim's Death: Fake Prescriotion connection
The eighties' teen star Corey Haim died on Wednesday with cause of death unclear and claimed by police as 'accidental overdose'.
Now another angle has emerged about the death of the 'Lost Boys' star. Yesterday it was claimed that Corey Haim had a fake prescription for a heavy painkiller.
California attorney general Jerry Brown said, "Corey Haim's death is yet another tragedy linked to the growing problem of prescription drug abuse.
"This is increasingly linked to criminal organisations, like the prescription drug ring under investigation."
Brown says that they found the line for OxyContin while looking into a gang involved in getting prescription pads illegally and filling the prescriptions with stolen IDs of doctors.
Meanwhile there is no confirmation from the Coroners about cause of death but only the information that Haim was showing flu like symptoms in the days before his death and four prescription bottles were found at his apartment after he collapsed.
Haim's agent Mark Heaslip has denied the claim that Corey died of overdose and says that medications were prescribed by an addiction specialist to Corey..
Toxicology reports are apparently going to be available only after a month so till then speculations are going to continue.
