Lindsay Lohan Gets To Keep Her Hair Extensions In Prison
According to Los Angeles Times, troubled Hollywood actor Lindsay Lohan has been allowed to keep her hair extensions as she serves her jail time. LA Times reported that the permission has nothing to do with special treatment. Notably, the authorities at Lynwood, California all-female facility do not allow inmates to keep hair extensions when they arrive at the facility.
The extensions are removed only if they’re detachable, according to L.A. County Sherriff's Department spokesperson Steve Whitmore. Jail officials told LA Times that Lohan was allowed to keep her extensions because they are bonded to her hair and essentially sewn in close to her scalp.
But not everyone is willing to accept this explanation as former inmate/celebrity burglar Alexis Neiers told E! News Lohan was allowed to keep her fake hair-bits because she's a fancy actress. Meanwhile, Lohan will have to remain in jail for some days. A few days ago her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, had said that the 24-year-old would be released sometime this week, but Lohan’s hope of an early release looks distant now.
"Nothing has changed," Whitmore told Us Weekly. "When she was incarcerated, I said a couple of weeks and it hasn't been a couple of weeks. That turns out to be the first part of next week. It could be Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, something like that," Whitmore added.
Recently Fox 411 had reported that the “Mean Girls” star was planning to sell her story to the press for a seven-figure sum, reported today. The channel reported that Lohan inked a post-jail tell-all interview deal before going to the prison to serve her 90-day sentence for two DUI’s and failing to abide by her parole requests. The interview is expected to be a proper sit-down formal interview like “Dateline."
