Boston's coach, Doc Rivers use Robinson very rarely and in yesterday’s game he entered the court in the second quarter for injured starting point guard Rajon Rondo. Shortly after Robinson came on the court he electrified the home crowd by scoring 13 points to help the Celtics break the game open in the second quarter.
"I kept telling Nate that at some point he was going to win a game for us," Rivers said about Robinson, who is just 5ft 9in tall. He joined the Celtics in a mid-season trade with the New York Knicks.
"Tonight he was terrific. It's a team effort. Every night somebody has to do something, and tonight it was Nate," added Rivers.
At the end of the first quarter, the Celtics were leading 30-19. Rondo sustained injuries after crashing to the floor following a hard foul by Jason Williams, but Robinson played superbly and was phenomenal in yesterday’s game.
