Kick-Ass star James McAvoy to play Cyclops in X-men: First Class
Reports have emerged that James McAvoy is going to play Professor X in the upcoming “X-Men:First Class”. The film is to be directed by Matthew Vaughn, the Kick-Ass star.
Contact Music has taken a photo of Vaughn who was seen hanging out with McAvoy and his “Kick-Ass” star Aaron Johnson last week. Because McAvoy is now a part of the movie, it is being assumed that Johnson will also have a part in it as well.
The general opinion has been that the young actor would be the right choice to play Cyclops. Producer Bryan Singer said that he will use the audition process for his “Jack the Giant Killer” to also search for actors who can play Cyclops and Jean Grey in “First Class”. Johnson had recently auditioned for “Jack”.
