John Edwards Mistress Rielle Hunter Rejects Home Wrecker Allegations
Rielle Hunter today rejected allegations that she is a "home wrecker" whose illicit affair with John Edwards was largely instrumental in the sad end of Edwards’ marriage to his cancer stricken wife Elizabeth.
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Hunter, who also has an illegitimate child talks about her affair with the former presidential candidate.
"Absolutely not. It's not my experience that a third party wrecks a home. You can't steal someone else's husband. People are not property," said Hunter to Oprah when asked if she was a home wrecker. "
Hunter said she is still in love with Edwards, whom she fondly calls as Johnny. When asked if Edwards also loves her, Hunter replied, "It's my experience that he loves me." However, she refused to say anything about the status of her relationship with Edwards. "That's private. I'm not sure I want to get married ever. I don't need marriage to define who I am," added Hunter coyly.
After the affair came out in open, Edwards' presidential ambitions were doomed, Elizabeth publicly slammed Hunter, and a former Edwards’ aide revealed that the duo had made a sex tape together.
