Hub Tea Party Rally Expected To Draw High Turnout
The Tea Party Express headlined by former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will roll into town for a rally on the Boston common that is expected to draw huge crowds.
The mae comes from the group of upset colonists who in the year 1773 had thrown shipments of tea into the harbour.
Other prominent speakers for the rally include Michael Graham of 96.9 Boston Talks, Todd Feiburg of WRKO, Jim Martin, Victoria Jackson and many others. The national tour named “Just Vote Them Out” began at Nevada at the end of March and will end on the Tax Day on the 15th of April. Tea party rallied have been held across the country featuring speakers, singers, and entertainers.
“You, the politicians in Washington, have failed We The People with your bailouts, out-of-control deficit spending, government takeovers of sectors of the economy, Cap & Trade, government-run health care, and higher taxes! If you thought we were just going to quietly go away, or that this tea party movement would be just a passing fad, you were mistaken. We’re taking our country back!” the group's Web site says.
As per the leaders the goal of the Tea Party is to "highlight some of the worst offenders in Congress who have voted for higher spending, higher taxes, and government intervention in the lives of American families and businesses,"
The group was formed by the coalition of angry groups who were upset with the federal spending, rising taxes along with the growth and reach of the government.
