HTC Incredible, Motorola Droid and Droid X to Get Froyo by early August
Android phone users would not have to wait long to get the Android 2.2 or the Froyo. According to AndroidSpin, the maximum you’ll have to wait is next week to get the Android 2.2. It is expected to arrive on major phones, including the Motorola Droid, Motorola Droid X and the HTC Incredible.
Though there has been no word from Verizon Wireless regarding this, reports says that the update will start August 6 and end up by August 15. However, the current speculations don’t match up with the time frame Verizon and Motorola mentioned at the launch of Droid X. The device was said to get Froyo in “late summer.”
So, if you are thinking how Android 2.2 would help boost your phone experience and makes your device user-friendly, here’s why. Android 2.2 will enable you to use Adobe Flash while web browsing. In return, Flash will allow you to play numerous free games online, play video directly in the browser and access full websites. Froyo will add more capabilities to your Motorola device and the Droid Incredible. Once you get the updates, your browser will perform exceptionally well, particularly those sites with heavy javascript, experts claim.
Moreover, you will get native tethering and hotspot capabilities. However, it will still be tied to Verizon and you’ll be charge $20 for the service. The little green robot is expected to make Android phone users to fall in love once again with their phone. We’ll keep you updated with more news about Froyo. Stay tune.
