Greyson Chance YouTube Fame Overwhelming But Parents Want For Him A Normal Life For Now
The 12-year-old new singing sensation Greyson Michael Chance, who became famous with his YouTube performance of Lady Gaga’s "Paparazzi,” returned to school yesterday to lead a normal life, once again.
Just this week, Greyson Chance You Tube video became a rage as millions of viewers saw his video. Fans created a Facebook page and thousands of people became members in no time. Greyson also appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
The sixth-grader said yesterday that he will need a new phone number now. "I keep getting so many texts from people I don’t know my friends can’t reach me,” Greyson said. Chance's parents Scott and Lisa Chance that their kid's sudden rise to fame has been overwhelming at times. "It’s slowing down now. Lisa and I were insistent that we pull the rope back as far as more public appearances because he’s got a couple of weeks of school left,” Scott Chance said.
The songster’s 16-year-old sister, Alexa Chance said that her phone is constantly ringing. "I’ve only had one person ask for his number and I said, ‘no, not right now,’” she said.
On his part, Scott Chance added that he would meet people in the music industry before signing any contracts. "We want to regroup and take the weekend to study how we want to proceed. Next week we’ll make some inquiries and start interviewing some people, not to necessarily sign some deals, but get advice on what we need to do next,” added the proud father.
