Gosselin Kids get Permit to Appear on Kate Gosselin New Show, Kate Plus 8
Kate Gosselin’s new reality show “Kate Plus 8” will have her eight children who have been cleared for the show as per spokesperson for the Pennsylvania Department of Labour & Industry.
Spokesperson Troy Thompson said, "Each child is individually permitted, and they need to be renewed every six months,"
In Gosselin’s earlier show she had not obtained work permit for her kids in her show "Jon & Kate Plus 8". However, the authorities have decided not to press charges against her if she followed the law in the future.
Kate Gosselin’s talent agency has signed an agreement with state labour officials that they would she would get work permits for her children for any work in the future. Failure to comply with the norm can lead to the reopening of the earlier case.
The show producer and Gosselin had earlier said that the children, 9 year old twins and 5 year old sextuplets did not need work permit.
In the case of child artist a minimum amount of 15% of the money needs to be parked in irrevocable trust account that can only be used once the child turns into an adult.
Meanwhile in spite of state's Bureau of Labor Law Compliance report that said that the kids were nor mistreated Gosselin’s brother and sister in law told Pennyslvania law authorities that they were worried about the kids.,
"We saw many concerning safety issues and did not see any safeguards in place to protect these children's rights," Gosselin's sister-in-law Jodi Krieder said. Kevin accused Gosselin of faking Christmas and waking up the kids telling them that Santa had cone.
"Can you imagine how confused eight little kids were that morning?" he asked.
Gosselin on her part refuted the charges and said that they were making false charges against her to gain celebrity status and to make money obviously. Gosselin’s ex husband had reached a conclusion on the child custody last year itself.
However, this year he has raised legal notice again claiming that the actress pays more time to herself than to her children.
