Erykah Badu has been cited by Dallas police for not getting permits for shooting at Dealey Plaza.
Singer Erykah Badu stripped naked and walked to the location of John F. Kennedy's assassination in Dallas last month, for the shooting of a clip for her new music video "Window Seat".The 39-year-old singer is being cited by the Dallas Police Department because she did not get a proper permit and charged with disorderly conduct.
Onlookers were shocked to see her take off her clothing in the public street at Dealey Plaza and many were offended.
Erykah Badu has to pay $500 fine or appear in court. The singer has however said that the video was purposely shot “guerilla style” without obtaining permits. Badu called it a protest and about "liberating yourself." The singer reportedly found inspiration in Matt & Kim’s “Lesson Learned” video, which showed the pair running naked in New York’s Times Square.
The whole issue has done however one thing for sure: generate public interest in Erykah Badu Window Seat Video as well as Erykah Badu pictures. Meanwhile many reviews of Erykah Badu new album praise the video but not not the song itself much.
