Professional dancer Maks Chmerkovskiy has said sorry for dropping Kirstie Alley in Monday’s episode of Dancing With The Stars "To all the fans...I'm sorry! It will never happen again and I will never 'fall'! To @kirstiealley You were..FLAWLESS! In more ways than one!" he Tweeted after the show. Alley however, is not upset. She Tweeted him back: "I salute u... U r a gladiator .... A champion... I'm honored to be your partner." She also addressed fans: "Thank u all for your support and your votes.... Sort of a beauty in Live TV... Because it's live... Anything can happen... gotta love it!!!!"
Chmerkovskiy appeared on ABC's Good Morning America on Tuesday and said that he experienced "a charley horse" while dancing the rumba and his leg failed to support him, according to USA Today. Although he said his leg is "sore," he added, "It's fine. It's not a pain that's going to stop me."
Chmerkovskiy looked at the embarrassing footage and said, "What makes me most uncomfortable, I want to be the backbone, but I want to be in the shadows. This talked-about moment takes away from Hines (Ward) and Petra (Nemcova) doing their incredible performances. Even from Kirstie. That's why I feel a little awkward."
Though the couple fell badly and remained lying on the stage for five seconds, they did not give up and completed their performance despite the slip-up. The two impressed the judges with their guts and managed to earn a decent score of 21 out of 30. The judges also praised them for their passion for dancing.
