If you are a video gamer who also loves comic publisher DC and all of its superheroes then mark November 2 on your calendar, because on that day Sony Online Entertainment will launch its DC Universe Online for PlayStation 3 and PC gamers across the world. The launch will give an opportunity to videogamers to become part of the DC universe in an online multiplayer extravaganza.
The game was showcased during the Comic-Con in San Diego. Dubbed the Sony’s massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) it has its blend of superhero action within a compelling persistent world. It is expected that MMORPG will also attract those , who are so far not interested in videogames.
The game was unveiled in a panel which included comic writer Jim Lee and Mark Hamill, the Joker's voice actor. The game director Chris Cao was also present in the panel and he talked about the development of the game. Hamill has given the voice for Joker in the game, Kevin Conroy for Batman, and Adam Baldwin for Superman.
Replying to a query about the Green Lantern Corps, Cao said, "The Corps is a very special thing". A brand new impressive trailer of the game was also revealed at Comic-Con. “It’s better than anyone ever thought it could be!,” said writer Jim Lee after watching the trailer. SOE has been developing the game for long so keep your fingers crossed that SOE can release constant updates after release. So wait till November 2 to step into the shoes of your favorite superheroes.
