Courthouse where John Edwards Mistress Vs Former Aide Case is Being Fought, Damaged in Fire
The Chatham County Courthouse in Pittsboro has been damaged in a fire overnight as reported by many news outlets.
The courthouse was a historic building and was presently in focus as John Edwards' mistress and a former aide have been fighting a legal battle over a sex tape at this very courthouse.
Reports say that even by early morning Friday firefighters were spraying water on some still burning spots. The fire started Thursday afternoon. The cause of fire is still unknown.
Though the fire destroyed the building but the material in the John Edwards mistress vs aide case is safe in a vault not at the courthouse as reported by The Associated Press who were told so by Superior Court Judge Abraham Penn Jones.
