Calling Kate Gosselin Absentee Mom, Jon Gosselin Files Petition For Kids Custody
Another episode in Jon & Kate Gosselin drama unfolds. Jon Gosselin has filed a petition for full custody of their eight kids calling Kate an absentee mom.
Jon's attorney Anthony F. List, filed the petition for his client asking for the children's custody along with asking the Berks County Court to review his child support payments.
List says that Kate is an absentee mom and her participation in ABC show "Dancing with the Stars" will be used as evidence that she does not spend quality time with the kids.
As per a report by Associated Press, Jon's court paper also say that Kate abuses her authority regarding his visitation rights, and that an arbitrator did not need her to provide proof of the children's expenses.
Kate Gosselin's attorney Mark Momjian says, "There was an offensive comment made about our client’s parenting. To the extent that that comment was made, we think it was completely reckless and it is patently untrue.”
Kate too responded through her publicist, "I am not willing to comment in public on the custody discussions regarding my children,”
“What I will say is this: I am and always will be a mother first, but as a single working mom I will do everything necessary to provide for my kids despite the opinions of others.”
Also there have been reports that Jon Gosselin's girlfriend, who he was living with has thrown him out very recently and so the timing of his petition seems suspect.
