CBS News Under Fire from White House for Controversial Blog on Solicitor General
A blog published by CBS News suggesting that Solicitor General Elena Kagan is a lesbian, has earned it White House fire.
Solicitor General is a leading contender for a Supreme Court nomination. On CBS’s refusal to pull the blog, Anita Dunn who is overseeing the administrative process of the nomination is said to have commented,” The fact that they've chosen to become enablers of people posting lies on their site tells us where the journalistic standards of CBS are in 2010,"
She also claimed that by publishing the blog the news agency has given window to someone who has a “history of plagiarism”. The blogger, Ben Domenech, is a former Bush administration aide who has been accused of plagiarism in his endeavors at journalism.
Post some correspondence with Ben, Dan Farber, editor of CBS pulled the post stating that after “looking at the facts” the claims seemed to be mere speculations.
An unnamed White House source has also shared that Kagan is not a lesbian.
