Brian Cushing Tests Positive For Banned Fertility Drug
Houston Texans and former USC linebacker Brian Cushing landed himself in deep trouble after testing positive for HCG, a fertility drug that is banned by the NFL.
Cushing had tested positive in last September also. However, he tested negative several times after that one positive result.
"He had one low-level positive test for HCG in September, and then every test after that was negative. He has said he has no idea where the positive test came from," said the person requesting anonymity because the test results were supposed to remain confidential.
Cushing supposedly tested positive for the same drug that led to the Dodgers' Manny Ramirez's suspension last year.
Ramirez was suspended for 50 games. Cushing, a first-round draft pick out of Southern California, won the AP's NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year honor in January for outstanding on-field performance.
