Biden Calls Custard Shop Manger 'Smarta' after taxes quip
This is not the first time Biden has been caught on camera using foul words. On Saturday he was in Milwaukee to talk about jobs when he made a stop at Kopps Frozen Custard, outside the city.
"What do we owe ya?" the vice president asked after finishing some of the cold delights. "Don't worry, it's on us," the unnamed store manager replied, but then on afterthought added: "Lower our taxes and we'll call it even."
The remark about the taxes did not go down very well with Biden and after few minutes he indicated his displeasure.
"Why don't you say something nice instead of being a smarta-- all the time?" he said to the manager, in an exchange captured on video by local station WISN. "Say something nice."
It is still not established if the manager said something else apart from the tax quip, that could have led to Biden’s outburst. Talking to WISN News, the manager said that he did not feel slighted by Biden’s remarks.
"I don't think he liked it," he said. "But later on he whispered to me, 'I'm just kidding.'"
Biden always seems to run out of luck because the moment he utters expletives, he is caught. Earlier this year, during President Obama’s speech to address the historic passage of the health care bill, the vice president was caught telling him: "You did it... It's a big f---ing deal."
Back in 2009, he was captured using a foul phrase to address a former Senate colleague.
"Oh give me a f---ing break," Biden said during an event to promote the stimulus plan.
