BART service resumes amidst long delays

After a stranded train was removed from the Transbay Tube, BART services between East Bay and San Francisco resumed this morning.

However, BART officials said that commuters should expect some delay which may range from 15 to 45 minutes. This will happen until the system gets into top gear. Well, services in the tube had stopped after a train which was heading for San Fransisco got stuck in the tube in the east of the BART station.

BART spokesman Jim Allison said, “The five-car section was moved out of the way quickly, but because the rear four-car section no longer had an operator, another operator had to be brought to the site.” Meanwhile, the Transbay service resumed at 7:25 a.m. The reasons for the train to be stuck are yet to be ascertained.
