Apple Launches iPad App Store with About 2000 iPad-Specific Apps
Its only a day of wait now, till Apple iPad will be available but Apple iPad App Store has started functioning already meaning that you can download your apps today itself.
iPad App Store was launched on iTunes yesterday with about 2000 iPad-specific apps. Also are available 150,000 iPhone/iPod Touch apps will work on Apple tablet PC.
At present the price of apps is a deterring factor at $15 but going by history, the iPad app prices should be coming down soon.
So many are going to wait before clicking on the "Buy Now" button for now but you will want to have at least some apps when you get you iPad in your hands. Right?
So what apps to get? Help is at hand from Gizmodo which has compiled a list of essential iPad apps. he list includes the Netflix app which has been widely anticipated allowing allocation of streaming video.
Presently iPad App Store does not have any apps which utilize its GPS which was a predominant one in iPhone App Store.
Also today is available iBooks software in the iPad App Store. The software not only lets you read books but iBooks also lets you buy new books and organize your collection. The main bookshelf screen allows you to browse by title, author, or category, or even drag books around to reorder them.
