Thailand continues to be in deep crisis as anti-government protests continue in Bangkok and other major cities of the country. Protesters broke through heavy police cordon and splattered blood on the gates of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva’s residence .

Luckily during the time of attack the Prime Minister was out of his home and was visiting the drought hit areas of Thailand. Though, the establishment had staffed around 1500 policemen in and around the Prime Minster’s residence but still the protesters managed to break free and flung bags of blood inside the compound. However, there was no report of immediate violence. Meanwhile, on Tuesday the protesters had also done a similar act inside the official government headquarters.

The Protesters who are under the banner of Red Shirt are collecting 1000 liters of their own blood and dumping it inside different government headquarters.

This protest and rallies in different parts of the country has been organized by United front for Democracy against Dictatorship or the UDD and their demand is for election in a new and fair manner which means the Prime Minister should dissolve the parliament. The PM has meanwhile said that he will not bow down before the demands of the protesters.

The protests actually began on Sunday and thousands of Thai nationals have joined in the protest. The rallies have generally been peaceful. The protests are from the supporters of former Prime-minister Thaksin Shinawatra who was ousted from his post in a bloodless coup by the military in 2006. Thaksin Sinawatra is hugely popular in Thailand and his supporters want that he should be reinstated. Thaksin, meanwhile, fled from the country in 2008 after allegations of corruption. The protestors demand is that Abhisit Vejjajiva was not elected democratically and he should be removed and new elections should be called for.
