Another Bomb Scare in New York: This Time at Union Square, Suspicious Vehicle Evaluated, Found safe
A suspicious vehicle parked at the Union Square in New York had the city in panic.
The New York police immediately sprung into action, clearing several blocks near Union Square on Thursday night and Friday morning to investigate the vehicle in question and later said that there was no danger of a bomb.
The city has been on high alert and lookout for any suspicious activities since a crude car bomb was discovered in Times Square on May 1 which was later traced to a Pakistani-American, Faisal Shahzad. Shahzad was arrested and charged with attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction and trying to kill and maim people.
The police were able to trace the owner of the vehicle at Union Square and after due investigations, the spokesman for the police department said, "It appears there is nothing there."
