There’s only one word to describe Angelina Jolie— Perfectionist! Hollywood’s one of the hottest divas is not only reckoned for her sensual looks but for fantastic acting skills as well. Her kickass performance as a CIA agent in latest action thriller Salt is yet another paradigm of Angelina’s perfection!
The actress had to be in tip-top shape to fit into the role of the spy, as the lead protagonist in the movie had not only to look hot but perform several stunts as well. And in major part of the movie, the spy appears in fitting cloths, reflecting character’s agility and quick reflexes. To achieve that figure, Angelina really worked hard, especially on her diet and stamina.
She ate about five small meals a day and strictly stuck to a diet inclusive of 70% carbs and 30% protein. She deliberately avoided cardio in order to “put muscle on without losing weight,” says trainer Simon Crane, who worked with the actress to get in top form for the film. Junk food was strictly prohibited, while alcohol was only allowed on weekends.
And that’s not all. The most impressive thing about Angelina’s Salt diet was she tried to build muscle and stamina for the role as CIA officer Evelyn Salt at the same time. Jolie showed her commitment to the diet chart and her training regimen.
“She knew that she was going to suffer!” says Crane, who started the actress with two-hour training sessions, five days a week. The actress availed strength and fight training both in order to prepare for dangerous stunts involving safety cables and wire rigs. After the shooting commenced, the training part was eased, while diet was altered to 60% carbs and 40% protein. And forget about any fear of heights: ”She loves doing action,” says Crane
