Andre Ethier Shines In Dodgers Win Over Diamondbacks
Los Angeles Dodgers star Andre Ethier performed superbly to help his side secure a 7-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks yesterday.
Ethier had three hits, including a two-run double, while James Loney homered and drove in two for the Dodgers. Chad Billingsley (3-2) allowed two runs and three hits in 5 1-3 innings to record his 50th career win.
Manny Ramirez, Casey Blake and Blake DeWitt added RBI singles to help Dodgers register their fifth on the road win in 16 games.
Chris Young homered, and Cole Gillespie and Rusty Ryal each had an RBI for Arizona, while Rodrigo Lopez (1-2) pitched seven innings. Ethier now has 48 RBIs against the Diamondbacks.
Ethier put the Dodgers 4-1 ahead with a two-run double in the fifth and then doubled again in the ninth. Loney, Blake and DeWitt then had consecutive RBI singles.
