Good news for Amazon Kindle fans as Target Corporation today announced that Amazon's popular e-reader will be available in all of its stores from June 6.

Amazon needs to market aggressively because the company is facing intense competition from other e-readers like the Apple iPad, Barnes & Noble Nook, and Sony Reader. These devices have do well so far because the companies have done very good marketing.

For example: Apple's iPad is prominently displayed at the Apple Store, while Barnes & Noble puts Nook in the front in its stores. Sony Reader are displayed prominently at Borders. It seems that Amazon has also some marketing tips from these competitors and from June 6, 1,740 Target stores will carry the Kindle. Target Corporation has been selling Amazon's e-reader in a few select stores in recent weeks, but the display at all its stores would definitely help improve Kindle's business.

"Our guests' response to Kindle has been overwhelmingly positive. We are thrilled to bring guests nationwide this incredibly light, portable, easy-to-read product that allows them to get all the news and books they want," said Mark Schindele, Target senior vice president, in a statement. Amazon has so far focused on its online-only sales strategy but the latest move is set to make Kindle more famous, which is currently listed as the top-selling product in Amazon's electronics department.

The e-reader market is growing rapidly these days and the introduction of new models are making the competition all the more intense. Borders, for instance, is will sell Kobo e-reader. The device is priced at $150 and is expected to hit the market this month. Kobo is priced lower than Kindle and Nook, each sell for $259, but it doesn't have 3G wireless or Wi-Fi.
