Actress Heather Locklear Was Cited for Hit-and-Run
Heather Locklear was cited with a misdemeanor for hit-and- run accident last Saturday.
The law enforcement sources informed that around 4am, someone heard a crash at an intersection near North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village.
It has been reported by the Ventura County Sheriff's department that the debris found on the star’s black BMW is the same which was found on a knocked down “No Parking” sign. Further reports are awaited.
Incidentally the accident went unreported till 7.48 pm on Saturday. In fact it was a resident who noticed the upturned sign board the morning after hearing the crash.
A representative for the dept said that due to the time factor the DUI test was not done and the star was given a citation and not booked.
“Ms. Locklear was cited with a misdemeanor traffic ticket as she is the registered owner of the vehicle,” Blair Berk, Heather’s lawyer, said in a statement to Access. “She was never taken into custody. The matter is still being looked into as it is not yet clear who was driving the vehicle.”
This is not the first time that the star has faced issues related to driving. She was under prescription drugs while being behind the wheels and hence was charged with offensive driving to which she pleaded no contest and thus her case was dismissed.
